    The purpose of this list of participants is to assist in analyzing the DNA test results and to facilitate sharing of information among participants and other Barbee researchers. Each participant is identified by his test kit number. A short genealogical record of his early ancestors and lineage is shown as provided by the participant. These ancestries will be most useful if only proven ancestors are included. Some of the ancestries are very short, in order to protect the identify of the participant (e.g. if there is only one possible male line of descent, those generations are excluded).

    Contact information is provided only if the participant requests it. Otherwise, my name is listed and I will forward correspondence.

    Note: Descendants of John Barba go by the name Barbee. DNA results show that John Barba was really a Barbee who is related to the William Barbee line. This appears to be a case of errors in research. Allen Barbee, shown below married the granddaughter of Rose Barbee of the William Barbee line who married James Harward. The DNA results show that this was a case of cousins marrying.
